427 Radiator angle

Does anyone have an idea at what angle the radiator is leaning back?

I note that Fluidyne markets a "Shelby Cobra" radiator but even the bottom section is angled... This seems a bit excessive for the 60's?

If I were you, I would cut off the angled radiator bottom section and weld on an equivalent square bottom section.

This has several benefits;
  • It eliminates unnecessary excessiveness,
  • It may simultaneously improve your Period Correct Index score,
  • It eliminates the need to coordinate the angle of layback on the Radiator with the angle of the bottom section.
It would be difficult to substantively improve upon these outcomes.

Huh? My fluidyne was square all the way around. What you see is just photo angles

I believe you’re right.

Guys, thanks for the feedback.

What is the approximate leaning as angle of the radiator?

I'd say ~25-28 degrees, I can get better figure when I am out with car.

Just measured.
I’d say 19-21 degrees.
Measured 2 cars, depends upon top bracket length

Thank you very much.

Does the radiator have a cowl on the sides to ensure all air flow goes through the radiator? I have seen photos that the top has together with the pin, washer split pin arrangement.

Yes the air is directed to radiator.
