The only change I would make would be the oil coolers being furnished by Coventry.

I've never seen this. Anyone have a picture? Maybe they were used on the AC version of the 427 (w/351).

Very cool!! I just added it as a link on my site.

mickmate 07-07-2006 04:25 PM

Hey Bob, I'm thinking MG, Spitfire, TR6. These were about the 3300 number on I believe. What do you guys use? I'll try again with the pic duh.

Threw in a couple of off the top of my head updates. I'll look up some more part numbers.

IIRC the turn signal and horn assembly came off a VW bug, painted black. The VW dip switch on the unit was rewired into a horn. I ordered one back in the day from a ford dealer,it came in a Shelby box with a VW box inside!

mickmate 02-04-2013 01:37 PM

Correct all earlier cars had the VW switch, we are trying to decide on a donor source for the later ones shown in my pic above.

"Shifter trim ring and boot-Galaxie stamped at 6'oclock with FoMoCo"

I didn't know about the stamping. I don't recall anyone talking about that or pointing it out before.

mickmate 02-04-2013 07:18 PM

I think the bus caps are used on some early 289 comp cars.

Even the English guys are hot rodders, nothing like a little re-purposing ;-)
I don't think that's correct, always editing this list. Thanks for any feedback.

Really? Are they not the biggest size of the Enot's 'Aston' cap?
