SC Competition dash - depth?
My dashboard appears a bit shallow at 9.25" measured in the middle, I would like to know what the approx depth measurement should be for the SC Competition style dashboard?
|
I measured the part protruding under the cowel at about 9 inches. Total is just under
9 1/4 inches. Yours sounds right. John |

SC Dash

I have several SC dash plans from CC etc, if possible I would appreciate the approx measurement, of how far down from top of visible dash (approx center) to top of the chrome gauge bezel, ie centermost of the three in line gauges! |
It's about 1.5 inches from the visible portion of dash to the top of the fuel gage.

Gidday Ant, hippo gnu yak. Can you read a CAD file? I could send you one or copy it into a different format. The 9.25 exposed sounds right.
Cheers Nick |
Dash
mickmate,
hippo gnu yak to you to to, I can read a .jpeg easy enough and Microsoft word, Excel and quicktime files, but this 12 year old Macintosh days are numbered! I have been drawing dash and also have made real looking sized gauge faces, the problems I have with the 427 SC Plan its the full scale drawing from CC, and there is another done on a white background with different measurements, is I suppose none of this matters as long as it looks right to your expectations, but me being a bit of a purist and on the other hand being extreme (non original) in other areas of the car! If I can decide on a switch level or base line, as I am happy with the gauge placings and layout and depth, at present for depth I only have 9.25, and that includes 1" under the lip so its about 1" too short! All the best and if you can send something that would be great, when I am trying to do something exact I hate several options.......aaaaghh!!!!!!!!! |
