767Jockey,

I'll set aside a set for you. I think I may have to start making a few more of these!

The original 427 S/C Cobra used a black braided soft hose for the brake reservoir to the master cylinder line. (The 427 street car and the 289 cars used hard lines to the brakes. The clutch used an integral reservoir on the master cylinder.)

I imagine the original soft lines were made by Girling. Today, most everyone uses Gates. Personally, I would opt away from that and use braided stainless. It is smaller and with the teflon lining, it will last for a long, long, long time.

Paul,

Here is a shot of all 3 of our cans together with the special bracket we made to hold them all together. We were tired of them all falling all over the place when we took out the wheel well panel. They are much easier to deal with when the are all together. The cans are $100 each and the bracket is $35. The bracket is threaded with a 1/4-20 female thread on the back side. So, to mount the unit on your car, you simply drill two holes and then bolt the whole unit down with 2 of the 1/4-20 bolts. It is really simple.

The bottom adapters are male dash 4 JIC--just like what was on an original Cobra.

David,

I had sent you a PM because I couldn't find this thread, but finally managed. Is it still available? If so, how much? Getting tired of fighting my Girling canisters. I'll buy another set and keep them for "correctness", but yours sure look like less headache.....
