Hey Paul, 4 3/16 dia, 8 3/8" long. Let me know if you need any other info on them like tube sizes, positions or connections.
Cheers Nick |
I think it was originally a gas tank from a Toro lawnmower. They then added barbs for all the hoses.
At least, that's what I remember reading somewhere. Larry |

I am attempting to clone one. Can you provide other dimensions? Tube sizes and locations would really be great Paul |
Hey Paul shoot me an e-mail and I'll get you a few photos with tube sizes and positions.
I think you'll find one on an old Kohler motor. I have a few in stock I'm putting the tubes onto. I have mixed opinions on whether to use the nut sert thingies in the back of the tank like originals or to make it more practical with a tidy little bracket on the back to bolt to the firewall. |
I've got to get with the picture posting stuff instead of describing stuff. Tecumseh is also a good donor. They have a seam halfway along. Pass side has two 3/4" tubes. One is a low straight tube, when oil accumulates it drops it back into the pan via a yellowed clear hose. The other one halfway up has an elbow dropping a draft tube down into the tunnel and the road. This is a great way to oil your rear tires and stop them squeaking too. Drivers side has a 3/4" elbow halfway up that hooks via tube to your plate on the rear of the intake manifold. This is your breather to supply the puke tank with yucky contaminated oil sludge. The other tube is a 3/8 that has a hose to your tranny top cover. Some trans top covers I have used elbow barbs, others I have just welded a tube into. They need to be close to the trans to duck under the tunnel.
