There's a picture of the upper channel. Marks channel is the six inch bolt spacing. I bought one set of those off ebay and I think it was from a fairlane. The spacing on later blocks is 7 inch and this is the size that Fran Kress made for me. I also found one locally that had been modified from six to seven inch spacing by welding a plate on it and relocating the holes.
The large rubber block comes in two varieties. One is just notched while the other I have has full enclosed mounting holes. One assembly I received had studs pressed in the fixed mount to accomadate the rubber block. Seems Ford just could not decide.

Looking like some good info thanks guys. I have also been led to this http://www.autokrafters.com/v4/go.gn...¤tPage=1 Which looks to be the one for the bottom. The part number they show is C2OZ-6038-A. John you show one similar except as Jay says these need the eyes off the sides. Part Number: C2OZ-6038A
- Fits 1962-64 Fairlane front LH / RH 221, 260, 289 with 2 barrel carburetor; 1963-64 Fairlane High Performance 289 V8 engines with 4 barrel carburetor; 1962-63 Meteor 221 and 260 V8 engines.
This excellent reproduction is made exactly like the original and is sold individually.
Anyone have one handy they can get me dimensions for the bolt holes?

Mickmate,
Went down in the garage and measured mine. 3.5 inchs. Hope this helps. I'll take some pictures later (when my camera battery is charged) and post them in my gallery.

Uh oh, I measured my C30E versions and they are at 2 7/16", close to 2.5" but well short of 3.5". I also checked the mounts on my car with the 289 in it, and while I could not measure the bolt holes, the mount itself was close to 2.5" wide which would suggest they are also 2 7/16". Could they have come in different sizes or do we have a measurement error?

I stand corrected. Jay's dimensions are correct ~2.5 inches. I posted a series of pictures showing the mounts and the pedestal in my Kirkham. The upper steel piece was from Fran Kress and fits the 7 inch current 289/302 block. Hope this helps.

Thanks for checking Bob. I have been working with Nick on getting some mounts for my Ace and thought there might be a new problem in getting the correct mounts. The 6" vs 7" has already thrown me for a bit of a loop and was worried I had a new problem to deal with.

289 mounts
Hello Bob, In your photos I noticed your mounts have a 3rd piece with the stud attached. Why do you have that? Our original car only uses the top two pieces of the mount shown in your photo and that bolts directly to the chassis mount using the two bolts.
just curious

I sure appreciate the drawings Mark has made available for my dimensional questions. I hope this doesn't stop these types of super discussions of different styles, sources and part numbers. Dennis Carpenter was also quoted as a good source for these parts.

Karl,
The picture showing two views of the mount assembly is a set I bought from ebay (actually the ebay picture). The third piece with the studs must be from some other application and is not used in our cars. It also has the shorter six inch channel section. Sorry for the confusion.
