What are the Chrome dots on the rear valance?
When the Payne Red 427 rolled across the Mecum block this evening, I noticed there were two small chrome circles on the rear valance, between the two quick jacks.
Looked like they might have been about 1 1/2" diameter, with a hole in the center and as I recall, some mounting screws. Anyone know what these are? thanks Paul |
Holes for the hooks of a small bungee cord that would be wrapped around the trunk handle to hold the trunk shut during competition.
Who says there was no flex... :p |
Photos?
Ron,
Do you have a photo of any cars displaying these? Do you know the size or was it an item made by the car owner? Thanks Paul |

Moderator,
Would you move this post to the originality forum. I think it would be more appropriate there, especially for those who are researching original cars/items/issues thanks Paul |
