Correct location of choke pull?
Can someone tell me the correct location for the manual choke pull knob on the dashboard for a 1965 427 S/C cobra? Can someone post or PM me a picture?

Gosh, most of us have the choke removed -- you really don't need it. I'm not even sure the S/C's even had them.

Well, I guess that's a point. I rarely, if ever, drive my car if it's not at least in the mid 50s. A couple of pumps, along with a feathering of the throttle for a couple of minutes, seems to suffice -- but you can not "start and go."

So was there no choke on any of these 427 cars?

There was only a choke if someone put one on it. Like Patrickt said, you don't need a choke, my car will start no matter what. I just have to wait longer in colder weather until the engine warms up. Doug, if you're trying to create a spot on exact replica of an original 427 Cobra, you'll find there are a bunch of little details that differ from car to car. The original 289 and 427 Cobras were not all produced exactly the same like a full on factory production vehicles.

I have seen dual carb models with a thermal choke on the front carb. I have seen single carb models with a short piece of rod holding the choke off instead of a cable.
