I was holding off with a reply waiting to see what Jay was gonna do, his father has had some pretty bad medical issues & he decided he better not get too far. Nothing bad at the moment but bringing him home .

Default NW AR Cruise

Tim,

Thanks for your work trying to organize the cruise for this year. I'll keep on the lookout for next year.

Ok, I have 4 maybe 5 solid commitments from our group here in St. Louis so I will start planning the routes. Anyone else interested in coming along? Don't let the date scare you too much. The average temps in Arkansas that time of year is:

November

average maximum temperature 61.6
average minimum temperature 42.1
average precipitation 4.15 inches
average snowfall .3 inches
northwesterly winds

Frost starts to become common during this month. The first of November is generally peak fall color in the central to southern parts of the state. As the month progresses, temperatures can frequently change to harsh cold.

Last time we did this, there was a high of 66 on the first day's cruise and a high of 88 on the next day. Looking to go to Eureka Springs, maybe the castle under construction, and or go down Push Mountain road. Hope some of you can join us!

Ok, starting to make plans on this, need to know who all will be coming. I have from our club:
Mark E
Gary O
Jim D
Me

From Arkansas I have:
Wendell
Jay
Larry

Others? Same format as last time, arrive Thursday, cruise on Friday and Saturday, go home (or not) Sunday. Push Mountain Road and the Pig's tail are on the agenda, still looking at other alternatives too. Harrison ok as a home base?

Think I'll try to make this run if you don't mind an East Texan tagging along.

Here are the proposed route map links. Day one is longer, but with less stops of things to see and do. Day two is shorter with a few stops of things to see and do. The routes are fluid as we see fit during the cruises if we are progressing faster than anticipated or slower. We'll see.

Friday's cruise - Supercruise 1 - Google Maps

Saturday's cruise - Supercruise 2 - Google Maps

Any suggestions welcome.

Slight change of plans. All the hotels are full in Harrison 11/4, but have plenty of rooms 11/3 and 11/5. We could spend the night on the road (Russellville) Friday night....stay tuned or post some ideas.
