Automobilia memorabilia faire Monterey August
This is an event that preceeds the big August weekend of concours, vintage races, etc.on the peninsula. This event occurs earlier in the week
at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Monterey TUESDAY, August 14, 2012: 10am to 6pm WEDNESDAY, August 15, 2012: 10am to 7pm ADMISSION: Only $15 Usually it is Ferrari, Porsche stuff but since this year Cobras are the honored marque at the track I think there will be some Cobra related stuff. The vendors come from all over the world. I would like to have a booth there but booths are $415, so if you already have one reserved, maybe we can share the space--I have fine art to vend. |

The Stauffeur Cobra Daytona book was $1500
This horizontal format hardbound book
was written with Pete Brock, Dave Friedman, et al It is a real tour de force. hard to find. I remember when it was "just" $700. Logan Grey (Gray?) of Portland is the guy selling it. he also had the first biography of Shelby, The Cobra Story, in hardbound I think that was more like around $150. If you can't get to Monterey early in the week to catch Automobilia and you buy a Pebble Beach ticket, a similar show, called Auto Retro, is over there and free to enter for PB ticket holders. |
