Open Track Touring August 10-11
It's official! Put August 10-11 2002 on you schedule of MUST DO events. The Mustang Club of Central Iowa is hosting an open track event at America's newest race track, Mid America Motorplex. All Cobras, original, replica, or otherwise are welcome. This 2.23 mile, 15-turn track is touted as the safest and one of the fastest in the country. It has been designed as an ultra-safe facility with no concrete or steel walls to hit and plenty of run-off area. The synthetic polymer surface is specially formulated for max traction and grip. Only six more weeks to go! The July 5th early registration deadline is nearing. Save $40 over the late fee. We currently have 21 cars registered - still no Cobras - pretty light turnout - sure looks like a chance to get one heck of a lot of track time for the reasonable $130 per day fee. Cars of all brands are welcome.
