Lake George NY summer run July 15-17
Greg Pecora is once again spear heading a great event in the mountains of New York state. The club web site has been having a lot of trouble this winter so I’m posting full details here.
The Summer Run is a gathering of cobra owners from Maine to Florida and all around the east coast This is not a car show, there are no trophies or awards. It's just a bunch of great people getting together in a wonderful town, taking a unbelievable ride thru the Adirondacks, shooting some photo's and we may even have a few drinks after dinner So it doesn’t matter if your just in the beginning stages or you drive a $500,000 " REAL ONE" stop up for the weekend and make some new friends and have a great time Daytona coups and GT40’s are welcome of coarse. The 1st year we had about 20 cars, then last year we were close to 50 despite threatening weather which kept many people home. (We got the cruise in with no rain) Interest is growing so 80 to 100 cars is possible this year! A rough outline of the weekend’s activities goes something like this: Friday afternoon we check in and gather on the lawn of the hotel (Yes, they let us park the Cobras on the lawn) A group dinner follows and the evening is open to explore the many fine watering holes, all within staggering distance to your room.:JEKYLHYDE Saturday we gather for the cruise which is 3 to 4 hours total as I recall. There is a pit stop at the ˝ way point. Saturday evening is another loose get together (Last year an impromptu trip to a go cart track sprung up, while some others took a booze cruise on the lake. ) Sunday those who can spare the time take a drive to the top of “Prospect Mountain” for sight seeing and pictures. Command central is at the hotel called “The Fort William Henry” in Lake George NY July 15/16/17th. We have a room Block under SUMMER RUN. If you call please ask for Heidi or Roberta in group sales to get the blocked rate. Phone# 888-389-4554 option #1 9-5 Monday - Friday 179.90 standard room 279.90 suites http://www.fortwilliamhenry.com/ If you are bringing the car on a trailer not to worry, the hotel has plenty of room for your tow rig. This is a very busy resort town in the summer Please don't think that you will be able to just show up Friday and get a room (it wont happen) Don't wait until the last minute for your reservation or you will get shut out. If you book a room please let me know. I will start looking for other hotels for the overflow if needed Directions http://www.fortwilliamhenry.com/directions.htm Please let Greg know when you book your room and send the following info: Name Address City / ST Phone Forum name Shirt size (if you want one ) $20 And a check for $15 (payable to UPSTATE COBRAS) Mail to Gregory Pecora 17 Sundance DR. Saratoga Springs NY 12866 Hope to see you this summer **) |
Bringing this TTT only a month away

We are still working on making it. This is peak season so it's tough. Sounds like a blast. Where's the Web site?

Cashburn, this should get you there, www.upstatecobras.com , click to enter the site, go in to the forums, and then into Upstate's Summer Run.

Web site still seems to be experiencing problems and with 2 weeks to go, wanted to bring this TTT. Looking forward to a great weekend. Last years was a blast. Hey Cashburn do you know if you're coming yet and bringing one of those Roush cars I've heard so much about?
