Any events in the Northeast?

Was hoping that any events for the upcoming 2006 summer in the Northeast could be posted here. Trying to make vacation plans and would like to attend some events. Would help if you had a place and time or a link.
I think Virginia has something and Ohio too.
Thanks

Virginia and Ohio are the Northeast?? News to me! :)

All kidding aside, I too would love to see some of the Northeast Cobrotherhood this season. I'm planning on running a couple of days with SCDA at Loudon in NH, and would love to get one or 2 more Cobras to show up there. Lime Rock in CT and Watkins Glen in NY are the only other 2 tracks within reasonable shooting distance for yours truly, and have track days and occasional Cobra gatherings.

Another place to look into some Cobra track days is with Club Cranky, over at http://www.clubcranky.com/ - check in the forum for the upcoming 2006 track plans, if they have any yet.

Had a great time at the Summmer Run in Lake George last June but I fear the organization of the event is getting to be too much as I haven't heard anything from the Upstate Cobra guys. That being said - Maybe we should explore a run in Southern Vermont / Berkshires/ or some place we can congregate for a weekend. There are a number of Cobras here in the Burlington / Rutland area that rarely get together so I am going to try and do a website just as a place to communicate. It should be up and running in a few weeks. There are some people around the NY capital district and even Duchess county so I think we could figure something out. Lurk is over in the rich part of VT where they actually paint their old Ford tractors but I'm sure he can make it anywhere in the area we settle on:LOL:

The Watkins Glen Vintage Grand Prix (1st weekend in September I believe) is an awesome event. Although not Cobra specific, It is hard to find more cool cars in one place. Plus, there are a bunch of Cobras running around as well. Besides the racing, there are all kinds of events/rallies etc... that are available too.
All in all, one of the best East Coast events of the year!

MidAtlantic Guys

Bill

I went to the MidAtlantic web site and without joining I can't get the details of the summer run. Can you direct me or do I have to register there to get the details? We'll be there.

Thanks

Not familiar with the show, but for a Cobra, would need to be an original from the '60s ?

First HPDE

I've signed up for my first track driving experience on May 12 at Lime Rock. Maybe some others will want to try it.

Can you provide details? Is it a PDA/NASA event? The ones I looked at for LR are mostly sold out...

Thanks

Track Days

The May 12 event is a High Performance Driving Experience (HPDE) put on by Sports Car Driving Association (SCDA) out of Essex, CT. I got in early for this event but I noticed that the other June events are already sold out.
This will be my first event and I hope to learn to drive a race course correctly.
I believe that there are still openings for the New Hampshire (NHI) track days by SCDA at the end of May and in July. Watkins Glen on May 1 & 2 may be an option for you.
I'd like to go to about one a month - any ideas?
