Racing filmfest near Yosemite late March
It's in Oakhurst. Various & sundry racing films & promotional films, plus lots of drivers from the Sixties to tell you
what it was like in the days before kevlar, etc. Books, artwork, memorabilia on hand as well. Here's the website Southern Yosemite Automotive Film Festival - Media 2008 It's open to all; there is a cover charge; it's for charity. I heard there's a lot of Corvette guys scheduled toa ttend so I am hoping some Cobra guys can come to show them what a real sports car is... |
Man, I hope all the Cobra's in the State show up. I went to one several years ago, and it was tons of fun. Let's all make an effort to be there, and make a great Cobra show for those poor, weak, little Corvette guys! Oakhurst is a fun place, and they are having a fun racing filmfest before the car show. Hope to see many of you there.

And if you see Dick Guldstrand, give him a quarter
I think that was the cost of the part that failed when he raced a
Corvette L88 for Dana Chevrolet at LeMans. Chevy could have used stronger aftermarket parts but wanted to have the engine be as stock as possible so he broke this tiny part. Give me the quarter and tell him "That's for next time you race at LeMans so you can buy that part in advance." He is one of the most fun guys telling the good old stories. I don't care about recording wheel widths and spring rates anymore, I want to hear about the fun times in the good ol' days |
Well Since Then He Spent The Quarter, The Grand Sport Vetts Rulled At The Run And Gun.
