Transmission has a new home in Sunny Florida :MECOOL:

Curious why you sold it...getting something else?

Mike I 04-15-2003 06:17 AM

Ratsnake (Tom),
How was your tour of Carabelle? Hope everything went well for you. I want to thank you for delivering the trans to my doorstep. It's a real beauty and I can't wait to get it into my car. It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife (and your pooch too! ;) )

joea, I bought Tom's 5spd and he went with the Richmond 6spd in his car because he needs the OD gear due to his low profile tires. I've got a 3.08 rear gear and tall tires in my car so the DN 5spd should be a nice upgrade.

Mike,

You got a good deal :)

Mike, don't I know it!!! :3DSMILE:

It should be just what my car needs to get me running with the faster pack at the G'ville track (I badly need better gearing)...too bad I don't have it in yet for this weekend's event.....

BTW, are you finally going to make an appearance this time? How about your dad, will he be there again? How's your car coming along?

Weather's looking good for the weekend!!

Mike I,
We liked it so much that we bought a piece of property there right on the Appalchicola Bay. In about 5 yrs.,(if we can make it that long) looks like you may not be the only Bowtie Cobra in N Fla. to win all them races ! :D We got home Friday night and by Sat. afternoon I had my six spd. in and running. It is just what I needed and don't regret spending the 3 K for it.(actually $2,100) I can run 70mph @2K rpm, compared to 3K before. Glad the timing was good for us to be able to bring it to you while we were going that way. Enjoyed your ride too , I think you'll be happy with the 5 spd.
Tom

Tom,
That's great news!! We're practically neighbors now....I'm gonna go ahead and sign you up in advance for the DSCC....;)

Good to hear the 6spd is in and running already, now I need some time to get the 5spd in my car.......

Thanks again for delivering it to me, you're a good man!!! Stay in touch. :3DSMILE:
