Online auction is fine... A couple folks have sent email with questions - I'll post the answers here to help out the others... The doors are complete inner/outer, assembled and primed in black primer (as delivered from SV). I see nutserts at the hinge and latch points - but do not know if there is any internal structure. I have a couple sets of hinges, make me an offer I can't refuse, and they go with the doors :-) No latches tho' :-( Doors need a little work on the upper corner where it meets the cowl. Pictures should be available later this week - I'll email to anyone that requests them. Dave |

I thought you were going to say you got your doors blown off...... |

Here's a tricky one.... Any idea how close they are to an original shape. Is it possible to measure some prominent features like longest and tallest points? |

I'll take some pics, and also make a sketch with measurements. The doors have never been on a car - so they should be as original as they come from SVM. One of the doors needs a little work on the corner - - but not a difficult fix for someone with a little knowledge of working glass. I think it can be bonded using Duraglass, and the seem would easily fill with a high solids primer... but hey, what do I know :-) With respect to the dimension being anything close to original... I have doubts. Every one of the body manufactures has their own little 'tweaks' in the body. I had these doors back when I had a CSX body in the shop - and they were a bit narrower, and the roll at the top was closer to 90 degrees. I think the radius on the top where they meet the cowl is also a bit different, as the SVM cowl hoop is larger diameter, and located further back than the originals. That said, they would be a good start if someone needed a door to modify for their car. If anyone want pics - be sure to send me an email, as the pics will be too large to post here on the thread. Mickmate... I have some orignal frame parts if ya need 'em (main tubes & rear arch). I've had them for years, they came with an old body I bought from a Ford engineer... I'm told they were made in the prototype shop when Ford was planning to build some of the first gen electric cars, and used a longer version of the Cobra body and chassis as a pilot. Don't know if the story is true - but it sounded good to me Current price is $55 plus shipping...:D |

Hey Dave, don't go to any trouble on measuring it. You answered my question already as they either fit or not with this type of thing. I am curious about those other bits though. Any pics? Cheers |

Pictures have been sent... please let me know if you missed them. The files are too big to post here :( Dave |
