My pushrod is 8 and 15/16 long,,, really! :D
The reason I ask is because of the APPARENT difference in high riser heads and med riser heads. I figured that would affect push rod length also? Thus, curious as to how long the med riser rods are. |

Michael H. - I have reused the orginal 427 balancer and have more $ than I want to admit doing the same thing in converting it to a double belt design with billet pulleys. Sorry I can't help you. Tell me about the intake. I am not terribly familiar with Sidewinder...been looking at Edelbrock RPMs. Is it aluminum? How does it compare to Edelbrock? I have a 428 SCJ block. Looking for all the stuff up top (heads, intake, etc.). Like the valve covers!!

I honestly can't tell you what the flow differences are but I can compare it to the E. Victor Single plane. I'd rather have the Sidewinder in that it provides better bottom end power with little or no drop off up to about 7K rpm's. If anyone is "budget" minded go for the E. Performer because you can probably buy about 6-7 of them compared to my package deal. Why? You can buy performers all day long - think of the Sidewinder as a Side-oiler block, rare and expensive. Thanks, I might call later. Will this intake work with a 428 SCJ? I have not got heads yet... What cam would you choose? Keith Wilson is going to run the numbers with Desktop Dyno soon, I hope...gonna ping him if he has got the time to do it. BTW, 7000 RPM will be too high for my 428...plan to electronically limit to 6000 RPM. :) Mike |

Regarding parts fitting - my air cleaner would be fitting, I mean fit. - it's one of those small thingie's.:eek: :LOL: GS, I hardly have any "stuff" over here (save TC's engine lift - I just sold it on ebay for a Buck-$-Fifty!:LOL: ) so whatever you want it's yours my friend! Heck, 20 minutes must be a round trip or has that job aged you to the point of creeping along?:p |
