For Sale:
750 Speed Demon Double Pump (Catalog # 1402010) Mechanical Secondaries $375 or best reasonable offer. SOLD 5/3/05 Background: This carburetor has been in use for ~2000 miles on a 351W/385hp Ford Racing crate engine. I have not been completely satisfied with the performance of the engine and have felt that it was due to the carburetor being the wrong size. About a week ago, I contacted Don Gould of FBO Systems (www.4secondsflat.com) to discuss my concerns. Don has confirmed that this carburetor is too big and will be properly setting up and sending me a 650 Speed Demon. Don has kindly offered to take this 750 Speed Demon, recondition it, and tune it to the buyer's engine specifications. It could be available for the prospective buyer within 2 weeks. |
I'm sure you will be much happier with the 650. These are great carbs when properly sized & set up. I set up a road demon on a friends 345 hp small block camaro a few years back. He always comments on how awsome that carb works for him.

I'm really looking forward to putting in the new 650 along with my recurved distributor. I expect a lot more throttle response and to really feel what this crate engine is capable of.
In retrospect, it's probably been good for me to be underpowered while I've gotten used to the feel of the car. |
