Contemporary Body shell wanted
Gentlemen; I am renewing my request for your help in helping me locate a Contemporary Cobra Body shell, preferably "Bare" with nothing on it. Please pass the word around to anyone you may know. I have had advice to go to Image,Singer, and FFR is a good suggestion also. I am trying to find a body buried in a garage somewhere or a "Spare" body that an old race team may still have kicking around. There has to be atleast one left out there.Thankyou for your assistance...Mike....

Give George Petrus in Torrance Ca. a call he regularly comes up with Contemporary Rollers for sale. I do not know where he gets the bodies from or if he has a stock of them, he may be able to sell you one or know where you can get one. 310-370-4075 Accurate Machine Products 20417 Earl Street Torrance, California 90503 U.S.A. 310-370-1035 fax line email us at: petrusg@ix.netcom.com George also sells an upgraded Jag/salisbury rear ends, Stainless steel knock offs and a number of other items. There is an outfit in California that builds new contemporary cars under a different name. Damned if I can remember the name.
....Anyone??? Good luck |
I think Factory 5 Racing bought the Contemporary moldes and made a few bare bodies.
Look under "options - body" for the new Mark III roadster. Dave |
I think we exchanged emails before on this last year. I have a Contemporary chassis that needed a body. I called everyone. I got passed around for about 3 months and I think Ive decided to buy a body from Mid States. They are good people and Im tired of chasing a ghost. I will be talking to George Petrus this week on another Cobra Project of mine and I will ask him about the Contemporary Bodies, If I hear anything good I'll post it here. Good Luck, Michael
