I thought that you can't register by year of the motor any more...That was the old way, prior to the SB100 mess.

Guys,
SPCNS you reg by year built and SMOG by year of engine. SPCNS / sb100 you reg by year built and SMOG is EXEMPT. curtis |
Hi Guys,
Curtis got it right.... SPCNS the way it has always been register as the year you take it to the DMV, smog regulations according to the year of the engine, BAR referee test and number certification, the engine should have (Up to the Referee) the correct equipment according to the year it was built and then subject to resmog every two years. Did my first Cobra this way in 1992. SPCNS SB100 register according to the year you take the car to the DMV title reads SPCNS (Same Above), smog check once with the BAR referee, referee uses regs from year of the engine or year of the Car you replicate and from that point on you are smog exempt. You know the drill ------ 500 a year etc. etc. Welcome to Kalliforneeia, TR |
