Blindspot Mirrors
Modern version of the vintage Barnacle suction mirrors used in '60s rallies. 2 1/4" X 4 1/2"
I found these and bought the lot of 5. They have a vacuum suction device and works great as a passenger side blindspot mirror. I have 3 left, $15 each plus postage via paypal, please email me if interested. wingseast@AOL.com http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...tionMirror.jpg |
All gone...
Thanks all. If I find more, I'll post again. |
Blind Spot Mirrors
Here is a web site that you can order these suction type mirrors from. http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/part.phtml?PartID=2651 They are available in two sizes but they dont tell you other than large and small. I would opt for the small. One British pound equals about $1.88 in US dollars. With a min. order looks like the best way to order these are to have your club buy a large quantity and resell to the members.

I'd be up for that I went to the website and found several mirrors I'd like to have.

Neat idea!
I found this at Amazon. Not as neat looking but I think I'll get one to try out... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...nce&n=15684181 |
Got some more...
I was able to get 10 more of these neat suction mirrors.
May be a bit steep compared to what you guys found but my cost with shipping from Germany is $15. Was I gypped?? A few of my Mini enthusiast friends wanted them too. If you want one, I can take paypal. Works out to around $18-$19 with postage and the paypal fee. Just PM or EM me.:o |
5 left.
It's working out around $18 USPS anywhere USA. |
Lucked into finding this one at AutoZone. Don't remember the price, but it was cheap. The convex design allows you so see from the far left to a narrower field to the right.

I bought two of them from Ray and I couldn't be happier!!

Thanks Dave,
everyone else...not for profit, really, just thought it was a neat find to share with fellow enthusiasts.
I looked at all those "watch kids in the backseat" alternatives posted here, too big, too bulky, and the convex mirror disorients me. I thought these were perfect, as they're actually designed AS blindspot mirrors. 5 left, and that's it. I'm not ordering any more. (Cheez, you go to the trouble, then the aggravation of packing, and trekking to the post office for cyberfriends...) Sorry for the rant |
Ray,
You have e-mail. I would like two. |
Sorry Folks, All Gone.
Fred, you got 2.
Jack, you got 2 also. Thanks all. |
The vendor mentioned by Poolw:
Small: CA 1135 4 3/4 X 2 Large: CA 1135A 6 1/8 X 2 3/4 http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/en/...sories~mirror/ |
The more I look at it the more I like it. I just sent you an email Ray... got any mirrors left?
|
Ray
Got mine!! They are first class quality and easy to attach with the manual vaccum. Just working to get them in just the right places to optimize the view. Do appreciate you helping us out, ignore the rest of the comments.;) Jack |
Thanks Jack.
I find these mirrors invaluable in the Cobra. The best spot I've found is right at the upper RH corner. Takes a little getting used to instead of glancing by the door.
Petek, sorry, all gone. Cheers |
