Garage Goodies - Part 4 - CSX 4000 radiator
This was purchased from Shelby a few years back as a replacement for the one that came with my Hi-Tech. As luck would have it the unit did not fit. Well, I'm tired of tripping over it so its gonna go.
I paid over $750 for the thing and as the pictures show it has never held fluid although the fins have gotten beat up a bit over the years. I ended up having a Ron Davis piece custom built for another $800. If you want or need a spare, are doing a scratch build or whatever, buy a fin straightener and save a bunch of $$. If it's never held fluid I can't answer the question if it leaks. I doubt it does however. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ctures_004.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ctures_005.jpg Want it? Make me an offer. Want it shipped? Your nickel for that as well. I'm entirely reasonable so toss me a number. Want to know where parts 1 through 3 reside? Check the AZ Cobra club section. I'm cleaning my garage. Jeff |
$200 I'll get shipping.
|
Jeff,
As long as the unit is not wider than 23.5" I will see that $200 and raise it $50. ->$250 + Shipping? Sorry Nick, I could use the long winters cold to straighten out the fins. Besides I can use the update when Spring 07 arrives. Jeff |
This looks just like my Fluidyne radiator made for Shelby. Quality piece.
Nick, looks like a bidding war.:) Dave |
And let the games begin!
|
Guys it is the Fluidyne Shelby piece circa 2001.
23.75 wide. |
I guess I'll offer the same amount to try and get it by first offer. If you want to offer $5 more and get into a game I'll go to e-bay to play and you guys do what you want with it.
|
Nick
Make your offer by PM. Negotiate with seller. You're right, this ain't ebay.:) Keep your cards hidden. Good luck. dave |
Guys,
Never intended to get into a bidding war. It may be sold - I'll let you know. Jeff |
Guys,
Check your pm's. I'm closing shop for the night. Off to Seattle in the morning. Jeff |
rad
Geff if the rad is still for sale I will take it $275
Thanks TOM |
Jeff, I have PM'd you again.
I agree that Nick has first crack at it. This is not ebay and we are all in the same boat = old cars with part updates which are endless and evolving. This is all in "fun" and ultimately a sale for Jeff is what we all want. Is the top of the unit bent? Shouldn't this be flat across the top of the unit w/o bend? We appreciate your patience Jeff! Take Care, Jeff |
Ok, its late on Thursday night and no committment yet for a sale. I head home on Saturday and have a 2 day window to pack and prep for shipment.
Takers? Jeff |
Jeff, thanks for the PM. I'm out on this one.
