Engine Masters Challenge FE for sale
I still have to work up a solid price - - and I have a couple nibbles that'll get the first shot - - but I think I'm gonna sell this year's Engine Masters Challenge FE. I'm kinda into real big motors, and this 434 inch one is just too cool to pull apart as a core for anything else.
The retail cost of the parts alone is over $17Gs - not exactly a budget build. I really need cash - but I suppose I'd consider amusing trade offers - no livestock and no women (I have plenty of them at home already). Call or e-mail for more...operators are standing by... Here's a general rundown: All data (unless noted otherwise) is on 91 octane pump gas (Shell V Power), with Hooker 1-3/4 street headers, EMC rules mandated mufflers, and a 14"x3" air cleaner. 434 cubic inches Genesis block - 4.350 bore - re-used from last year Machine work done at Sunnen's tech center Ford steel 391 crank modified by Performance Crankshaft - 3.640 stroke, 2" rod journals Carillo 6.7 H beam rods w/ .927 pins JE spherical dish custom pistons - 10.5:1 compression CNC ported Blue Thunder 428 MR heads with many tricks... Rev stainless steel 5/16 stem valves, TI retainers, Comp 26099 oval track springs, Trend 3/8 x.135 wall pushrods Comp .749 lift roller cam & FE specific lifters - oils through the pushrods, T&D rocker setup Edelbrock Victor 4500 intake - heavily modified inside Quick Fuel Technology 4500 Dominator Meziere electric water pump ATI damper MSD billet distributor and wires Blue Thunder competition valve covers Melling oil pump, Canton widage tray, Milodon oil pan ...and I know I'm skipping things... This engine has had 35 dyno pulls since assembled, and has never been hurt or even put in a car. It should deliver quite adequate power for a street driven Mustang and would border on insane for a Cobra - perfect. This is top shelf piece - look at the parts list! PROVEN 678 horsepower at 6500RPM on 91 octane. Testing here in Detroit hit 694 horsepower at 6700 with open carb & headers. Peak TQ is in the 585-587 range. The ice cream will definitely not melt on the way home from the store! Barry Rabotnick Survivalmotorsports.com |

What kind of rocker assembly?
Just wondering what set up you went with. With that lift cam is it still a streetable motor? What is the cam duration?
