"Daytona Cobra Coupes" Pete Brock book for sale

SOLD, THANKS

I'm selling my Coupe book, and hope this is the right place to post the ad. I'll paste the description I wrote below. Thank you.

This book is the best reference ever made for any fan or student of the 1964-1965 racing battles fought by Carroll Shelby and his team in seeking the World Championship for their COBRA team. They needed an aerodynamic weapon to beat Ferrari on the fast European circuits, and the American endurance events, since the Cobra roadster was not fast enough. Pete Brock, one of the authors of this book, designed and developed the legendary Cobra Daytona Coupe in a mind-boggling 90 days, and the rest is history... which is all laid out here in exquisite detail. This rare book is THE definitive resource on all details of the Daytona Coupes.

My book was purchased direct from Stauffer Classics in 1999, and has been a treasured possession ever since. Note: This is NOT the ultra-rare edition signed by members of the Shelby team. It has a dark blue hard cover, and the original dust cover. It is in excellent condition, and has been stored in our non-smoking, air conditioned home since new. It has been read-through twice, and has been used as a reference when I was preparing to build a Daytona Coupe replica. The book is in as-new condition, no disappointments.

Friedman’s photography is superb, and most pictures have never been published elsewhere. Pete Brock’s text is bountiful, with the true inside details of every rumor, escapade, legend, and factoid you thought you’d heard about these cars, plus much more. There are 531 pages of detailed text and hundreds of photos of the design, fabrication, testing, and racing of these fantastic Cobras, including their individual race histories and ownership after leaving Shelby’s hands. Most photos are by Dave Friedman, Shelby’s official photographer during that era. There could not be a better gift for a die-hard Cobra enthusiast than this book, authored by the guys who were on the scene when this historic car was developed and raced.

I am an unabashed Cobra enthusiast for 40+ years now, and am selling this book only to help finance rebuilding the engine of my Factory Five Racing Cobra roadster replica, which I blew at Sebring last month. I hope a fellow enthusiast can use this volume. Price is $750, I'll accept PayPal, and I'll ship it for an additional $20, or meet you here in South Florida to hand it over in person.
