Chrome timing cover/ 460
 
Can anyone help me with a source for a new chrome or polished aluminum timing cover for my 514 SVO ? It's the same as the 460 as far as the cover goes....
I am looking on line, but it seems a scarce item...only option at this point is to have mine stripped and high polished or chromed, which will cost valuable build time on my turnkey.

Does the crate motor use a front or rear sump oil pan? When I built my 514 for my West Coast, I checked with Ford Racing, but they don't sell the front covers. They pointed me to a local shop that sells new front covers, but they are for a front sump oil pan with the dipstick tube pressed into the front cover. If I recall correctly, the crate motor is a rear sump, so maybe this isn't an option for you.

I sent my front cover and Edelbrock aluminum water pump to Squeaky for polishing. Looks great! Send me an email if you would like to see pictures.
