302 or 347 short block

I live near Los Angeles, Ca and am in the market for the above described block. I have a set of Eldebrock Aluminum PErformer heads. MSD ignition (complete) on my existing 302. The heads are for the smaller valves (1.90s) I want a new engine rather than a rebuild. Some of the DArt and SVO blocks look good, but I really don't know any more than what I read on these forums. I think FORD might have what I need. Any suggestions?

Thanks

HArris

If you want to stroke up to 347 then that new Dart block is the way to go. You could probably get up to 360+ with the dart because of its overbore capacity. You could stroke a regular 302 or sportsman block to 347 too, but I doubt it would last like the dart would. It just wasn't made to handle that many cubes

My .02 cents
