Recommendations for kits in so. cal.

This is my first time seriously shopping for kits. I have checked out Factory Five, but I would really like to find someplace in Southern California so I can visit the facility.
Any suggestions?????

Save your money if that is your attitude. Just kidding:) But really, don't let geography limit your choices or you may end up unsatisfied in the end. It would cost you around $1600 to have a car shipped in an enclosed trailer from the northeast corner of the country. A small price for the car of your dreams! Use this board to search out people's comments about manufacturers & recommendations. There are so many options out there with varying degrees of quality & accuracy. Decide what you want concerning accuracy, what you are going to use the car for(shows?Racing?Weekend Cruising?)& how much you are willing pay. Many people are buying cars right now inststead of building them because of the weakness of the market. Good luck!!!

If you haven't allready, stop by House of Cobras in anaheim. They usually have at least half a dozen cobras there, of different makes so you can see the differences side by side.

Mr Fixit's idea makes the most sense in seeing the differences firsthand. Quite frankly even that will have some bias as each build has varying level of quality. If you have yet to do it, I would suggest that you sit down and make a list of what you are looking for in your completed car. By that I mean how accurate of a replication of the original, handling, overall budget, how important is it to hold its value. While the last seems an obvious answer, realistically some manufacturers just seem to demand a higher number when and if you ever sell them. You will be surprised just how much difference there is between kits. If you would like any further input give me your email and I'd be happy to arrange a call to talk with you about what I've seen and experienced over the past 20 or so years.
