Wanted: 2 15" Compomotive Wheels

I am looking for two Compomotive 15" rims that I can use for drag slicks on an Everett Morrison with a '95 Corvette rear.

You might want to state the width desired and the offset as well. Buying rims can be tricky!

I'm not sure what I need?

Ha ha,,,now THATS the way to buy some wheels!!

Measure the width of the rims you currently have. Then measure from the center of the wheel to the outer edge (both sides) and THATS your existing offset (inside and outside).

Now if you going "racing" you want the biggest wheel width you can get without having the tire rub the fnders (inner or outer edges).

I run a 10" width with a 5 inch offset (center measured to inner edge of wheel) on the back and 9.5" on the front. I put the 10 inch on the front ONCE, they rubbed! Mine are 16" Compomotive with a Ford bolt pattern. I bought some used MUSTANG wheels for "racing". Used Vette wheels may not work on the Cobra, they have a HUGE offset to the inside.

You need a 5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern and a wheel with 6 1/2 inch backspacing and no more than 3 to 3 1/2 front spacing...you might be able to use a little more back spacing but it will be close.

Thanks "Hotfingers"...sounds you know what I need. Would you recommend 15" or 16"? I have 16" on the front.

I've used 15 16 and 17 inch rims. 15 were compo's, 16 were a 5 spoke, and 17 were ZR1 rims. You'll be limited with 17's for a drag tire, limited also with 16's but there are some out there.....there are et streets in 16. Much better choice in the 15. I think I'm using 11.5x15 et streets which are about 9.7 tread..I also think my 16's are the same size, but have a little sitffer sidewall than the 15's and hurt coming off the line.

So...what I want to buy is two 15" rims with 5 X 4 3/4 bolt pattern, 6 1/2 back spacing and 3 to 3 1/2 front spacing - preferably Compomotive. I would consider any style wheel this size - as they will just be used for drag racing.
