ERA has a nice "standard" with inboard brakes and a great "race" version with outboard brakes, modified axles and uses alloy for lighter weight.

Your Street Best car is not set up for the Jag set up. We have installed jag rear ends in non jag set up cars in the past but it can be tricky. You best bet mya be to get a used one from a jag and modify it to fit your frame and body set up. There are some folks around that deal in used jag rear ends in the central Florida area.
We can help with that if you wish.

THANKS FOR THE INFO. THE OTHER OPTION I WAS LOOKING AT WAS A 4 LINK WITH FAB 9 REAR. WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

JB,
As I recall Street Best frames are set up for the late model Mustang Fox body link with the 8.8. What kind of engine and HP are you planning? If you are staying with a mostly stock 302 don't worry about it. If you are going to the 400+ range you will need to install a stronger rear end in the car. You can cut down a 9 to fit and weld on all of the attachment points so it will work in place of the 8.8.
Of course that is still a solid axle.

Should work out fine. The 9 is much stronger and has been a main stay on NASCAR for years. Just make sure the links are as strong as the rest of it.

I have a 4-link and a fab 9" from Currie. They do a great job.
