"Holy Grail"
You search for the Golden "Holy Grail" of ford engines, my good man!
God be with you! And good luck on your quest. jdog:cool: P.S. An 'un-molested' 427fe side oiler is a true prize, and will command a high ransom, you must be a man of wealth! |
427's ??????????????
J Galt,
I met a guy at the Reptile Roundup in Nov. who claims to have several original 427's in Fla. I think he was from around the Orlando area. I remember him giving me a pink (how could I forget) business card with his number, which I have somehow misplaced with all my X-mas mess. I will continue to look for it and pass on the info if I find - Maybe the fellow will catch this thread and contact you. Good luck! Have you joined the "Deep South Cobra Club?" If not, why not? We are not just a bunch of "racers!" Many of our members have built their own cars and are available to help you find those mysterious parts. Membership info: www.deepsouthcobraclub.com TL:MECOOL: |
J Galt,
I also met the guy at the Reptile Roundup. He owns a custom car shop in the Orlando area. You may try on line yellow pages. David |

I have one such NOS 427 Side Oiler Block that is sitting at George Anderson's Gessford Machine Shop. You may want to give him a call, and get the particulars. I am not sure about the date codes or any of that. It may very well be a service block. George did all the machining and it is sitting there. he should be able to talk more intelligently than I can. I know it wasn't cracked, welded. I believe it is standard bore. Give him a call. TURK |
If all else fails give Rick Kirk a call next Monday I know he has at least 30 or 40 Sideoiler blocks at his shop. 918-372-4537. I may be going over to his shop today and I will check if you like.
