WTB: Body Only

hello to all. i have been a member here for 5 years and this is my first post, and i hope i dont get anyone upset with me about it. i have a 76 bronco that is so rusted out it is not worth saving but it runs good, so what i want to do with it is grapht a cobra body on it. it has a 92 inch wheelbase and i know that some of the kit car bodies are have streached wheelbase. i know that there is only a 2 inch differance in the facrory cobra body wheelbase and my bronco wheelbase so it is not that big of a deal. so with that said does anyone have a body for sale. thanks dave

Lone Star is a streatched wheel base and might work quite well. I think you may be able to buy a body for $2500 or so.

The new ERA's are stretched a bit, but if i'm not mistaking, they have a 93" wheelbase. If thats the case, probably not what your looking for.

There was a guy out my way that had 2 cobra bodies for like 2600 each I beleive. I think they were stretched as well. If your interested I can get his info for you.

Sorry Greg, the new ERA body is not a stretch anywhere but in the footboxes. Externally they are dead nuts to an original on a 90" wheelbase.

Dave, give me a call. We handle U.S. distribution for D&D and I can probably get you a body A.S.A.P. at a good price. It will be a 90 inch w/b body however. You would have to cut it and strech it, probably at the cowl. mj_duell@turntenracing.com

Bill- you are correct. It is an Everett Morrison I was thinking of, and I thought of it tonight when I ran across the info book in the garage. I stand corrected. At any rate, I know the EM's are 3" longer, and according to a sales rep, the extra 3" are in the body itself for added leg room, thus having a 93" wheelbase. I'm sure I got the right manufacturer this time. %/

FWIW this was my answer to the same problem allowing a 460 and 12" setback.
