NEED NOS Early 60's Ford Starter Solenoid
Need NOS Ford fender mounted starter solenoid. This one is kind of a redwood to light mahogony color, NOT BLACK. Otherwise, it is exactly like the black one with RBM and Fomoco stamped on the top. Number also stamped on top is 2701966. Thanks in advance for any help or leads. Can these be rebuilt?? Bob

AMK Products has them. There are two types, same body but different markings dependant upon the era you wish to emulate. The body is a reddish-brown bakelite material and was used by Ford until mid 1966 on some car lines.

AMK doesn't sell the reddish brown ones, they only sell the 4 different black ones that cover 65-72.
Good luck on finding one, the last one I saw on ebay went for over $300.
