Bill, I believe "Iwanta" is right, check the DMV web site.

Motor is currently being installed at FE Specialties. We will start her up next week, "lord willing"! Check my post "CSX4795" for updates!:)

Good luck with your car

Registration

For those of you who have already registered your cars... On your registration, it should state that it is an SPCNS.
Does it also state a year model? did you get DMV to state that it was a 1965? Not sure if the DMV started my paper work correctly.

My registration says SPCNS, and the year on the title/registration is the year the replica was manufactured...in my case 1982. The year on the title is not to be confused with the year the vehicle "most resembles", which will be used to determine smog requirements under SB-100. That decision is made by the BAR...and at that time you tell them it resembles a 65/66, they agree, and you're all set.

The worst part about it sounds like the SB100# that I need to get from the DMV. I've tryed to call the DMV in Sac before and I couldnt get through -- Now I have to ask someone at the DMV office to call for me, and hopefully get through??? Oh Fun

Sb100

If I understand you correctly, you should be made aware than all 2006 SB100 sequence numbers were allocated by Jan 3, 2006.

Your next opportunity to obtain a number is Jan 2, 2007.

I recommend you arrive early and in person. And, I'd informally speak with your DMV manager in advance to make sure they are up on this process and have a viable plan for Jan 2nd so you have a decent shot at getting a number. If my witness of the 2004, 2005, and 2006 process is any indication, all the numbers will be gone before Jan 2nd comes to a close.

I wish you luck, and feel your pain.

Byron
