Registering superformance in NY
Any insight? I just got off the phone with DMV and they scared me. 1 month to get a VIN and inspections, etc.
Will my car sit in the garage for 1 month after I purchase it.....UGH.

I'm going thru the same BS. I even have an out of state title for the car, but they want to assign another NY VIN to it & do their own safety inspection. I'm told it's not too bad of a process, but time consuming.

I spoke to 2 people at DMV, one was tough the other said dont worry about it we will get you passed without too much trouble.

its not too bad....jus make sure you fill out all the forms (they are all available fron the DMV website) and you have all your receipts. Te safety inspection is just to check for stolen parts so be sure to be able to prove none of your major compeonents are hot.
