SPF on Cobra Country 4 sale
There is a Superformance #1045 on Cobra Country for sale titled and registered as a 65.
I'm assuming this isnt for real so,how do they do this? Do they get a VIN from some other 65 and get it thru the DMV system? Would another state recognize this and transfer the title the same as for any other used car bought out of state or would the new state want to re-register the car as a '200X custom'? Just wondering thanks |
many states, SC included ,let you register your car based on the year it replicates or the motor mfg. date. It should transfer, that is why it is desirable

Hey how about the claim that another car was BUILT in 1964 and FIRST REGISTERED in 1964 on Cobra Countrly as an SC replica! Now thats far different than a car that is simply 'registered' as a 1965 (or 64) for the MODEL year it represents. Hawaii law dictates a replica (Cobra, Porsche, Ferrari, etc.) be registed as the year the body style represents. As to if that year would be hold up in Calif remains a bit of a question mark.
IF the car is claimed to have been actually built in 1965 your liable for fraud. |

Chuck - how is the new SPF GT40? How does it compare with your Mk1? |
Keith, it is much faster with the big Roush motor, somewhat noisier inside but I am trying to remedy that with insulation. MK11s are definity harder to see out of than MK1s. I like it, although one of these cars has to go soon, probably the Daytona.
