John

Just guessing as I know Andrew flew into Run N Gun and then went onto Texas with Hershal. I'll ring and chase them down and see what they have been up toooo.%/

John hope all is good there with you and yours.

Stay safe

Hey Bernie, I received a phone call from Hershal yesterday. All is well in Texas. He has a cold from the Run N Gun. Mike Foss from Tucson,( I believe that you know him ) purchased a 1965 Mustang GT350 clone in beautiful condition while he was on a "rain delay" at Run N Gun. All is well in Tucson, the weather has dropped below 100 degrees and it's beautiful. Take care.

Clois Harlan 10-12-2009 01:26 PM

We would have taken 100 degree's on Friday when the cold front came through.

I severely doubt the guy driving Hershals gt 40 was a competition driver.

Hey Clois, I lived in Lawton, OK for two years and taught at the FAA Academy in OKC. Still have 80 acres in Tipton. I don't miss your humidity.

Kramer 10-12-2009 02:49 PM

Clois,

Although the weather could have been better, I wanted to thank you and Dean for putting this event on. I am already looking forward to next year.

PS...Do you know when you will updated the site with the pics that were taken?

PurpleVenom 10-12-2009 03:43 PM

Believe this is the car that Mike bought - http://www.fastlanecars.com/Public/Vehicle_Detail.aspx

As for pictures, the only pro pics we have are of the parade lap that we made Wednesday. The rest are of people that were there. I am waiting on a bunch from our club members that were there. I have a few that I posted on another RNG thread.

Thursdays Pictures

I have pictures of the rain delay day at Fast Lane. I will have to wait until Donna downloads them from the camera.

John-Tucson 10-13-2009 01:00 AM

Hi Vector1, neat name ! I was there from Feb. '82 to May 84. I commuted 58 miles each day, each way and never missed a class. ( My commute car was a 1971 Pinto ) My son, Jim, is currently a supe at Cleveland Tower/TRACON. I hope that you enjoy the job as much as I did ( 46 years and 7 months of government service).

Clois Harlan 10-13-2009 06:21 AM

Hopefully, Ben Moment will have some pictures to post soon. I know he flew out to cover the American LeMans race in California. Thanks again for your kind words but we absolutely did our best to make lemonaid out of lemons. Next year will be better. I have downloaded all the results on on spreadsheet that I will forward to Mark Earls tonight and by sometime tomorrow we may have all the results up on the web site.

Next year think September 23, 24,and 25 in Hastings, Nebraska at George Anderson's new track!

Are these dates Locked in?

Clois,

Are these dates locked in or will the fload to the right or left? Just trying to lock in my plans for next year.

Might have to take in the Husker game on the 25th. Also what hotel will be the event host? I know these may not be available right now just tossing out the questions.

Thanks again for a great time.

Cool video from the track. I know, not a Co$ra, but I liked the telemetry showing the track - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNPwYyA7DgA

Early overhead view of the track - http://www.bing.com/maps/default.asp...cl=1&encType=1

Their website - http://www.racemph.com/

Cool looking track

951mat 10-13-2009 08:58 AM

I think I'll love that track. No concrete walls!

Gregg(What's his name)? 10-13-2009 02:15 PM

Hotels in the area.

I booked a room at the Quality Hotel and Convention Center. 80 bucks a night at the government rate. I want to be sure rooms are available. The Huskers have a game on Saturday in Lincoln. Plan on getting tickets and make it a big weekend.

I am ready for 2010. Big brakes are on its way for the cobra.

PurpleVenom 10-13-2009 03:27 PM

Matt we missed you this year everything going well on the car?Hope to see you next year ;)

Gregg(What's his name)? 10-14-2009 07:08 AM

Tim,

Not excited just try to make sure I get my calendar planned out plenty in advance. This way I have no excuses for not making the event.

951mat 10-14-2009 08:25 AM

I sure missed being there. I can't wait to see the track in Hastings. Car is in 1st primer coat now and hopefully the body/door fitment will be done soon. Sway bars are installed and 10.5" wheels with 315's are waiting in the garage. I imagine that will be a step up from the 275s I was running. I imagine I'll have it on the road just in time to throw a car cover over it for winter. Oh well.
