Well I had my chassi guru out from Hollers HotRods and Race Cars he thought the framing I was doing was sound so that helped me stop beating myself up over my own work, the engine is in for test fitment im going to have to cut on the firewall to clear the bell, the cooler and Rad mounts are all mocked up and nearly finished,if it comes it would only be in primer the ugly duckling of the event for shure.Thers alot done but so much more to do im working 6-8 hours a day on it now but fabbing so much seems to go soo slowly.working on the mount for the 3rd link today got to get back at it.here's a couple of shots up front.

She looks really good Bill, a ton of work. I do recognize that monster in the belly. Interestingly, my brother and I were discussing taking the motor out of the BDR, and seeing how it tucked into my wife's 67.
MMM, maybe time for a rematch;););)
Cheers,
Richard

Clois Harlan 08-30-2010 05:19 AM

Now that's the spirit!

Richard are you and any of your friends coming to Run N Gun this year? I haven't had a chance to talk to you about it.

Clois

Bailey 08-30-2010 11:42 AM

No , I am out for this year, I have my hands full with some other things (all good). I figured it was a good time to let someone else take home some trophies:D
I am not sure if any other Fl guys are going to be making the trek either. Honestly I've been a little out of the loop, keeping my head down, workwise, and the computer tme to a minimum.
Maybe next year.
Cheers,
Richard

Clois Harlan 08-31-2010 06:00 AM

We are going to miss you and your brother as well as Reg who has always been someone for us to try and catch on the track. You have to look up every now and then and when you do take care of the family and then jump in your Cobra and take it for a little airing out. Be safe and hopefully, we will see you at the next Run N Gun.

Clois

BT SNAKE 08-31-2010 08:49 AM

What Clois said Rich. I wish you could be there but I
know how it is sometimes. See ya next year.

Thanks guys, all is good, still been driving quite a bit, participating in the NASA time trials events here in Fl, and driving frequently with some other clubs. A couple of local Cobra guys have gone in and put together a car for the Chump car endurance race series as well. We have the first 12hr race late September at Sebring, so between that, being self employed, and a great family life, sometimes there just is't enough time in the day.
Hopefully next year, R and G has always been a good event to focus on, and get the summer cobwebs out. October is actually the start of our driving season down here.
I'll be watching the forums, and keeping tabs on you guys.
Cheers,
Richard
