Run N Gun 2010

This years Run N Gun was a great success with the help of John Chestnut, Hurricane Motorsports, Fran Hall of RCR, Sugar Grove Racing, Shell Valley, Backdraft Racing Cobra's, Brent Lykens of B2 Motorsports, B/A Powder Coating, Lone Star Cobras', Contemporary Classics, and Dave Williams.

John Chestnut's generous donation of twelve of his Big Belly Banks which we used as a silent auction to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. We raised over $1100.00 for the Breast Cancer Race for the Cure.

Fran Hall made a very generous contribution to help with the RNG expenses all though he was not able to attend. RCR will be here next year with a note pad!!!

A very special thanks to George Anderson and the people of Hastings, Nebraska (George was the consumate host) and everyibe actually made us feel as though we were appreciated. Several of our members had interviews with TV stations and area newspapers as well as with Jim Youngs of Kit Car Builder. The event will return to Nebraska next year so please plan on joining us.

Many more photos will be forthcoming and updates to our web site are being prepared for release later this week (we hope). Our overall Champion was John Meyers in his 350 Chevy powered Brunton Stalker. John is an awsome driver and has the bulls eye on his back for next year.

John,

We will save a place for you next year right next to us in the pits.

I am building a new Cobra to run on the track. Maybe I can get it done by next year. I have the chassis done and a light weight body. C5 Vette suspension, brakes, 3:42 diff. I want to run an aluminum small block ford. With my LS engine and 6 speed tremec the car is under 1800lbs. In the past I have run on street tires. This time I want to try slicks. Hoping I can make next year! John
