Clearing Up some Run N Gun Confusion
I have been asked by several people if RNG was an open RACE with passing in all corners. The short answer is NO it is not. Run N Gun has been a very safe event for the past 24 years and this year will be no different.
IN ALL BUT ONE GROUP PASSING WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED IN DESIGNATED AREAS AND WITH A POINT BY FROM THE VEHICLE BEING OVER TAKEN. IN THE NOVICE GROUP THERE WILL BE NO PASSING DURING THE FIRST SESSION OF EACH DAY!I am sorry for any confussion regarding this event. There are only three (3) weeks until the 25th Anniversary of Run N Gun being held this year at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit October 19-21, 2012. If you are interestd in participating in this years event please go to our web site Run 'N Gun and download our registration form, complete it and mail it into me with your registration fee as soon as possible.
Thank you.

I think maybe the confusion lies in the 10 lap challenge:
"The top 10 point earners in each intermediate and Pro class will compete in a 10 lap sprint race"
In the Intermediate class, will passing be allowed in the corners during this event?

Normal rules aply in all classes EXCEPT for Sunday when "THOSE THAT WANT TO PARTICIPATE" in the Scramble can do so.
The Autocross will be on the front straight and the North Straight. It will be a FAST course with a little twist!

Mark are you thinking about coming this year? It couldn't be much closer for you?
Besides if you just come down to watch we would really like to see your JBL.

i'm considering it. have to come up with a current helmet if i do. my car is not autocross friendly because of the small radius turns, i can only imagine doing a 180 within the confines of the straight, reason i asked. sounds like fun.

I have one you can use or you can rent one from the track. Don't go buy one for just this event! No, 180 degree turns, there are others with that issue too.

Make sure you guys get a lot of pics and video of the event for those of us that can't attend. I really wanted to come to this but my daughter bought a house and we are closing and moving her and my son (28 / College Grad) who still lives with me is finally moving out the same time so I'm really tied up but really happy!!! Did I say I was really happy!!!! Have fun you guys! Hope Dean makes it out on the track
