Run and Gun

Just filling out my forms for the 2003 R&G and thought it might be a good time to bring this back to the top. No kidding if you have never been to Run and Gun you should really consider making at least one event even if you don't want to race. The friends you will make and the chance to look at virtually all Domestic Cobra kits in one place is a real treat. If you do like to test your cars ability, this is the time and place. There is litterally something for every Cobra owner.

VOLUNTEER

MY CAR IS NOT READY FOR ANY OF THIS. HOW CAN I VOLUNTERR TO HELP OUT?

GEORGE ANDERSON 08-30-2003 09:39 PM

Larry...with only a 100 mile drive from SPRINGFIELD,IL
I think you should go early and set up a BBQ in the Pits for the drivers as they arrive....I think Wayne and Rich will spring for the $$$ to cover the Beef (Only Nebraska Beef allowed of course).
Actually you can just show up the day the Run & Gun starts and see Wayne Turpin or Rich Pickles and offer to do what ever they need done.....
Offering to help with Tech on the Cars can be really helpful and the Tech list is on the web page...
I usually send the Window Class Stickers and these are put on the cars when Tech is completed....

call Wayne Turpin at 812/477-2355 and let him know you would like to help...he and Rich will really appreciate the offer.

What a great idea get them to buy some beer in also and I will help cook the beef.

See you at St. Louis in mid October.

The beers on the way. They tell me its cheaper to buy in the States there.

Will hopefully bring over a video of the Australian Cobra Nationals held on the weekend of 4th and 5th October.

I checked today and there is apparently over 105 entries.

The car I am currently completing should be ready for that weekend. :3DSMILE:

It's my second Cobra and I am not getting any faster completing the dozens of things on my list stuck on the dash. Should have it ready.

But not painted.

If your talking with wtcobra - Wayne - give him my regards.

Cheers :3DSMILE:

Bernie......looking forward to seeing you guys......The BBQ Cookout has grow into a Friday evening party with several sponsors....the theme is "Spooky Fun @ The Run & Gun" with Halloween festivities......
You may want to bring a mask along...Wayne doesn't need one as he's naturally scary looking......The track will cater in the food and the bar we're in charge of....now that's scary...

Yes, I'm also looking forward to catching up with you all.

Will ring Wayne next week to see what his thoughts are re travelling from his home town to St. Louis. I had intentions on following him across.

Will see what the current plan is and advise you all.
