lewismc Try Gessford and look for the 05 R&G. For info go to www.gatewayraceway.com. Or call Gail at 618-482-2400. or Fax 618-482-2400. Its the last weekend in August. Kit car mag is going to help with the event this year, but that's a rumor. Look in the next KITCAR mag that comes out in April. Rick Lake |

Won't be able to make Run & Gun this year, bad time, event starts the day my little guys start school, first day of Kindergarten for the youngest one!

I want to visit during this event but there is no info about when/where I'll be able to see special cars on display. Can someone help me choose the best time to visit. I want to see the special exhibit cars in particular--the Original Cobra roadsters, Daytona Coupe(s), GT40s, and ESPECIALLY the new SPF GT40!!!

Run n gun
sssnot, I went last year before I bought my BDR. I wanted to see the BDR team in action and wanted to look at other manufactures. The best day was the first and second day. Most cars did not break anything yet, after the drag races I would say 25% or more of the cars were out of compitition on a trailer and the way home. Last year they had the road corse and auto cross first and the drags the third day if I remember corectly. In any case the event did end early by one day so go the first and second day for the most action.

I THTINK THAT YOU MAY HAVE A WRONG IDEA ABOUT THIS EVENT. YES THERE WILL BE SOME MANUFACTURERS THERE THIS IS NOT AN EXHIBIT. THIS IS COMPETITION. SOME MFGS BRING SAMPLE CARS SOME DO NOT. I DON'T THINK THAT AN ORIGINAL COBRA HAS EVER RUN THERE AND HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE THERE.
YOU WILL SEE EVERY TYPE OF CAR BUT IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS AN EXPO IT IS NOT. WHAT YOU WILL FIND IS A LOT OF CAR OWNERS AND GOOD PEOPLE THAT CANANSWER ANY QUESTION THAT YOU MAY HAVE.
THE EVENT IS NOT A FOUR DAY EVENT. IT IS THREE DAYS WITH A RAIN DAY SET ASIDE.
LOOK ME UP WHEN YOU GET THERE. I AM BRINGING AN ORANGE BACKDRAFT. WILL BE GARAGED NEXT TO ALL MY RACING FRIENDS.
