HELP!! Run n Gun Nationals 2008 Hotel Querry…
The Casino Queen has made us a package deal on their rooms but since Dean and I have to put up a cash deposit for those that we think will stay at the Casino Queen we need to know how much interest there is in staying there:
Casino Room rates –Dbl or King $75.00 Smoking and non-smoking rooms With free continental Brkfst and casino Vouchers. The hotel is located just across from the Arch and the Mississippi River on the Illinois side and only 5 miles from the track. Plenty of parking for all kinds of vehicles. These rooms rates will be available to all participants and spectators registering under the Run and Gun Nationals Event. I need to provide them a count by Sunday night thank you. Email me at: Clois Harlan tulsacobra@valornet.com Dean Lampe Dean.Lampe@ga.natixis.com Thanks for your help! Clois Harlan |
I have a survey on the runngun.net web site so if you are thinking of coming to this years Run N Gun Nationals please take a moment and post a yes/no answer on our poll that is located on the forum.

wow.... 6 months out with a guarantee of numbers is a bit intense!
I cannot attend this year, but if i was.... I guess I'd stay where the majority of folks are staying. Is this the 'host hotel'... like where you/Dean/James are staying??? I'm not sure you're going to get a big response yet, with it still a while away. :) K |
We are still trying to work a deal with a couple other hotels but the problem is that there is a huge national soccer tourneyment the same week of Run n Gun and we are competing with all the soccer kids and their families.

Can you move the event?

My group stayed at this hotel last year and liked it. We had planned on going back this year. I will get you a count! Thanks for all that you are doing, John

Dyno, Not at this time we can't but our long range goals are to have a Run and Gun on both coasts. The problem is getting a track to allow us to put our cars on the track without making certain blanket mods (complete roll cages for all levels) plus another issue is that very few tracks offer the ability for all the venues in one place. We have contacted several tracks this year looking for options and there are very few willing to let us come and play at the prices we are willing to pay.
Another issues was on the Run and Gun web site I inadvertantly locked everyone out of the site but that is fixed now so if you wouldn't mind please go and take our poll if you are coming as a participant or spectator. The other option we are working on is the Holiday Inn however they have raised their prices and we are competiting with another event in the area at the same time. Here is the link to our poll: http://www.runngun.net/forum/viewfor...29f2117cb61574 Thank you, Clois |
The other option is the Holiday Inn in Collinsville where we have stayed in the past. The price is similar but we thought we would through out something different this year and see what everyone thought. I have already spoken to some who will not be staying at the Casino and are going to the Holiday Inn instead. The "host" hotel will likely be one of these two places. When registration opens on May 15th, we will let everyone know which hotel was favored by most of you.

Yea, Buzz given your experience and the ability of your GT 40 you will probably have to run in the Pro Class-I am sure you can turn 1:07 in that GT 40.:)
