Run N Gun Nationals - 2008
 

Our registration is going very nicely and if you want to be a part of one of the most exciting three or four days in your life you will want to attend this years Run N Gun Nationals. This year George Anderson is providing brand new timing equipment that he is using at his track Motorsports Park Hastings so we are assured of eliminating the issues we had last year with some of our transponders. Our Friday night banquet is moving from the track to the Casino Queen and we are stepping up the food quality and quanity considerably. Our new trophy's and placques are being ordered the last week in August (yep I said trophy's). Door prizes, random drawings for merchandise and gas cards.

Every significant manufacture in the Kit Car/ Replica industry is participating in our manufacturers Row. This means you can compare your manufacturers and their cars all in one setting. Ask questions and take a test ride from any of the manufacturers. Attend seminars, take a cruise, or just hang with the guys in the pits (which usually gets a little more laid back after the track goes cold -closes). Several engine builder and tuner experts and car builders will be available for your questions.

What is the track "cut-off" number? I've heard that it is 75. Just curious.

You are correct with the cut off being 75 but we are only going to field 70 cars so everyone can maximize their track time and keep the event enjoyable. I am sure Gateway would love to have 150 cars but that wouldn't be very much fun. As an alternative to the competetition timed track event we are offering what we are calling "The Run N Gun Experience" which allows the driver to get into the track each day and have a secure and designated parking space inside the pits, free admission to all seminars, free access to all the pits, cruises, door prizes, a special Friday noon controlled speed session, one ticket to the awards banquet (additional tickets can be purchased for $25.00 ea.), free entry in the Saturday Car Show, and three time only passes on the drag strip. All this for $100.00.

However, we still have a few full participation spots available and 8 or 9 garage spaces available. I am looking forward to see what your Coupe will do with those new Goodyears this year Larry! Several of us took a vote and we would like for Jackie to bring more of those cookies :)

Jackie brought her cookies to the pits in Tulsa and I resisted as long as I could and then I caved in for one, then two, then three ... you get the picture. They were wonderful!

I'm not one to talk since I've also pigged out since last year...however, have you heard of ...Lycra-Spandex? Ginny Craig and Weight Watchers swear by the product. It is available in various quantities in most notions departments. Maybe Mary could alter your Nomex SPF driving suit to provide you seam-stretching comfort as you contort yourself to "blend " into the Coupe. :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

WOW a spandex driving suit you may have hit on it.Of corse I dont want everyone to be ill after gayzing:eek: at my skin tight everywere threds:o ,on a happy note iv been jogging and trying to cut down,its so hard:CRY:.I hope the jogging is going to help behind the wheel so I wont get winded so quick.The car makes me work hard and just plum wears me out.Setup I supose.oh well il just keep pecking at it.See you soon I hope.Lord willing and the river dosnt rise....WB3:D

No, David Kirkham will not be at this years Run N Gun but the Kirkham Brand will be well represented as will Factory Five the other major manufacturer that will not be at RNG. They were both invited. However, if you have followed FFR very much you will notice that they tend to do their own thing most of the time.
