From the drivers seat of a GT40

This is a video from my car at Run and Gun 2008. The first couple are warm up laps then a few hot laps.

My alternator quit charging during this session which created a slight misfire at the end but all in all it was a lot of fun.

Exciting video footage! 3rd gear and then 4th gear just before Nascar #3, then back to 3rd gear between one and two. What kind of RPM's before you let off on the straight?:MECOOL:

The safety marshall, "Big Bad Dan" said he was going to black flag you for not wearing you driving gloves. He should have laid a "Meatball" on you!%/

Best Run'NGun ever! Thanks to you, Clois, James, Hersch, the wives, the Gateway Staff, SCCA corner workers, all the Mfg.s/Vendors, and all of the competitors!

Jackie would also like to thank a Black Jack dealer at the Casino Queen.

Hey Dean, looks like your handling tricks have got that thing riding on rails, the horizon doesn't tip hardly at all in the vid, nice! It's funny looking UP at a Cobra..........

dlampe 10-18-2008 08:05 PM

Larry, I was able to run up to somewhere between 7500 and 7800 rpms. I agree, this event is only going to get better and better. I'm not sure I can help with the blackjack!

That was great, Dean! Following your line, I can see how to get a second out of my time because I was doing turn 7 all wrong .. swinging out to the apex cone instead of staying close to the rumble strip :o Wheee! It was fun!
