run n gun dark knight out

bout 10 yrs ago there was a race under the lights at gateway on the road course, might be something to look into, maybe a feature special event.

maybe they currently do this, it was an scca event.

WildBill3 03-26-2009 05:22 PM

They told us the bill to do that would be huge, last event we asked but it is a neat idea maybe we can get govt. bailout money to turn them on:LOL::eek::JEKYLHYDE

oh well, always a catch.

maybe they could hold this in conjunction with the cell phone, cheeseburger, coke between the legs event?:JEKYLHYDE

In the next few weeks we will be announcing the new agenda and some revisions to the rules. Bill is absolutely right about the cost for night racing...very cool thought but out of our budget.

We are still trying to get something exciting new for this year.

WOW!

when i was there they brought in infield lights like you see road crews use at night, i don't remember if they lit up the whole stadium, but i do remember there were dark spots that made for interesting driving!

Skip the lights and drive without

vector1 Skip the light and drive with OEM equipment lights. This will sperate the men from the boys.:rolleyes: I have driven that course at night with just head lights at 20 mph. It's real easy to overdrive the lights. Nothing like that 270 degree turn with outside camber and only 1 marker for the correct turn in. Let's remove the cone and see who's nuts.:JEKYLHYDE**);) No thanks on this, I will watch from the stands. Night vision glasses may be an option.:LOL::LOL::LOL: Rick L.

WildBill3 03-28-2009 01:39 PM

Im in any takers :)

dlampe 03-28-2009 04:07 PM

First one into the tires wins!:JEKYLHYDE

I haven't seen to many cobras with headlights bright enough to see the road much less race.

RICK LAKE 03-28-2009 06:47 PM

You cheat and cut the corners off

dlampe You cheat and use the lawnmower rule.:CRY::p Cutting across the grass is no good.;) That should be a MULLIGAN Dean.:o;):LOL::LOL: Rick

I did that once with my wife giving directions from the passenger seat. We spoke to each other again after about 10 years went by.
