Hot Rod truck body on my Cobra chassis

I have alot of friends that have Hot Rods. I wanted a unique car with supercar performance but with a style that would let me go with my friends to all of the Hot Rod car shows and events. I built the all aluminum chassis to accept C5 Corvette suspension and drive train. The engine is an LS6. The tranny a Tremec 6 speed. Total weight, with body, is under 1800lbs. The body is my loose interpertation of a 23 T bucket truck. The cab roof will tilt to get in and out or is removable so I can drive it as a roadster.

I scratch built a Cobra with the same set up. This chassis has the same track and wheelbase as my Cobra. (90 inch wheelbase) I will add this car to my Cobra and Spyder. I still want to build a Daytona Coupe and GT40. Lots of ideas, lots of projects, not enough time!

John,

Great idea, very cool car! Are you going to paint it or leave it as is?

I'm going to finish up the body, have the interior trimmed out nicely and then paint it. I am thinking of a nice blue with black roof and bed cover.
