Newbie

I am new to the Cobra world and was hoping to get some feedback about either building a kit, or buying a complete car. If possible, I'd like to keep it under $30K.
If I was to buy a completed replica/kit car, what should I look for and what should I stay away from. There seems to be a lot of options out there.
I live in the SF Bay Area of California.
Thanks.

You ought to look into the local Cobra Club. I'm sure you can check out different brands and get their experiences during their builds. You can also see the differences up close and personal. All the guys I know are glad to talk about our favorite subject. You should also decide how you will use your car. Road racing, drag racing, street only or street and track. Different kinds of builds for each use. I'm sure more of the forum folks will be by with more perspectives.
If you are not sure you want to build, there are quite a few cars for sale in your price range.
