Speaking of Cobra Restorers, they claim to have rear uprights for a 289, and the picture looks right for that car. Anyone have any experience with this piece?

Am assuming by competition/street, they want you to state which one you need.

I think those are supplied by Cobra Racing Suspensions.

I have an email out to him.

I found his half broken website by accident, once. Any chance you have a link?

Aha, found it:

Cpbraracing.com Company Profile.

Welp, this build is being pushed back for a little while;

Once I tallied the costs and skills involved, I decided to take on a less ambitious project for my first scratch build.

I just laid down rails for a Model A Hot Rod.

Once I get that completed, the Cobra is next up. Will still be collecting parts for it in the meantime.

It is probably a better idea to take your time and hone your skills. Building a scratch build cobra is not something to jump into if you have any doubts. Take your time, gather parts and you'll know when your ready. Good luck with the Model A build.
