Original style radiator
Somewhere there was some discussion about the original style radiators and the fact that Fluidyne is now making them again. I can't find the thread, so thought I would post this here- look what I found on ebay today quite a bit cheaper than SRP.

BTW, does anyone know where you can get the rubber bushings that support the radiator in the original style supports, and the upper radiator brackets? |

Cobra Restorers............do search on their website. Fluidine (SP?) radiator photos in my gallery. Check Fluidine's website. Outstanding quality product, pricey, but worth it. In thjis photo the lower outlet has been modified for my particular application, and I added the bung for the fan switch in the RH tank, and a vey small (1/16" pipe) bung neat the LH inlet to allow it to be burped! The hose on the upper right goes to the side of the Harrison surge tank. The number in the Ebay add is the same as this one. (3) 1" tubes. "Buy it Now" is good. Nice job, Rick. Where was the original switch located? It's inline on mine, seems kinda strange but served another purpose as well.

I e-mailed them on it. The one on e-bay has top and bottom tanks not end ones and doesn't show a top pin as well as the bottom ones being too far apart? Hopefully it's just a file photo.

the pic on the website shows the pins on the top and bottom but I'm not sure on the spacing. The website pic also shows the tanks to look like they are top and bottom-maybe I'm not looking at it right? I don't know how original this is?

Has anyone ever used the '69 Nova radiators listed on ebay quite often for around $105? I know that Grumpy has said that they will work and the dimensions seem to be about right to fit the original mounting brackets. The outlet/inlet are in the correct location.
They are usually brass/copper and would need a different lower mounting set up but that shouldn't be all that tough to fabricate. Any thoughts? Bob |

Take an Alka-Seltzer and relax, it just a brass core unit from Visteon (GO-DAN at one time, PF*^)$78 another time, and, they changed names so often) is owned by FORD, at least was?, who knows tommorrow. Bob, The Serck pins on bottom were 270 MM apart from the center and at the center top, 12 mm brass pins/bolts cut off to 20 mm, and brazed to channels attached to the upper and lower fin trays. You will have to ignore the aluminum many tube customs and later radiators in the COBRAs, since they are high cost options today. Bearing in mind the heat exchange rate factor of brass (w/m degress cent) is 380 or so as compared to less than 200 on aluminum. Then they are much beefier for the pounding in street use, with brass being 330 tensile strength vs less than 40 for aluminum. The big fan in back quiet often is the secret anyway, it will come on about half as manu times as the similar fan with an aluminum radiator liker the Griffin 25282-X or whatever number they now have on the alum one at Summit. grumpy |

The cross tube that supports the hood hinges/nose upper has a bracket that the top dress aluminum bracket support plate/grommet bolts to. Have not seen the supports on eBAY, so I cannot say. grumpy |

'96 to '03
Can you put a '96 stock cobra radiater into a '03 cobra? would it even fit? do you think the '03 cobra would overheat? i have a hole in my '03 radiater and my buddy has a good as new stock '96 cobra radiater he can give me, would it work okay?
