Part sources

I am doing my homework before starting a scratch build. Bought a few books, read tons of treads and checked out CC and other sites photos as if I was searching for the Holy Grail...

I intend to follow a traditional CSX frame design and would like to use NOS original style parts for the suspension, rear drive train/axle and aluminium body if possible.

I am looking into part sources. Not the typical Raydyot mirrors, pedals, or quick jacks, I am talking about the a-arms, possibly leaf suspension, hubs/knuckles...

I know about Cobra Restorers, Motorsports International, ebay, and the ellusive Mr. Gunning... but are there others??? Will I need a password or a secret handshake to make the purchase???

I am not asking for a book with all the answers. I don't mind the legwork at all. I am asking for guidence or leads.

Thanks.

-John

Tom's motorsports in Las Vegas also has some original style suspension pieces.

www.bethaniagarage.com has lots of parts and better pricing than Cobra Restorers or Finishline.
Especially on their Lemans filler covers and lights

A left, right, upper, lower, front, and back of everything! Oh and make sure it includes necessary hardware.

Hey Mickmate, that is exactly what I will need!

I have family in Lee, NH. I do not get up there often, maybe once or twice a year. I will give you a heads up closer to Christmas and maybe you can put some extra wood on the stove in the shop and show me around.

Hi John, no worries. It will be more wood this year with the price of fossil fuel. Let me know, it's always warm in the toyshop with a fridge of cold stuff in the corner.
Cheers

What ever happened to the stuff at North American Fiberglass in Arizona. They built a lot of pieces that he is looking for. Me too.
